Distrito in the Saguaro Hotel (Formerly Mondrian) Disappointing

The pictures online looked great so we gave it a try for brunch today.    It was worth the trip just to see the new interior designs and colors.   They have only been open since December but that should have been ample time to get the service right.  There was only one other group in there at the same time so no excuse for extremely slow and forgetful (though polite) service.   The menu is beautifully written with mouthwatering descriptions.  In actuality, most of the dishes we experienced were  seasoned with a very heavy hand (including the bloody mary),  making me wish I had Rolaids.   Have not felt like that since we were the judges at the Chili Cookoff in Texas.    The patio off the bar, upstairs, is now utilitarian with hard, plain surfaces and no pillows or other welcoming decor.   The only one there was one of the employees having his lunch.   All in all, I don't think this one is going to make it either.
