Street Eats Food Truck Festival With Tyler Florence Rolls Into Salt River Fields This Saturday

 Looks as if the Valley's food truck phenomenon of 2011 is continuing into the start of the new year -- and this time, its bringing celebrity TV chef Tyler Florence and a bit of baseball with it.

From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., this Saturday, January 14, at Salt River Fields near Talking Stick Resort, the Street Eats Food Truck Festival, presented by New Times, will feature over two dozen local mobile kitchens in the Center Field parking lot with celebu-chef Tyler Florence, host of Food Network's, The Great Food Truck Race, hosting the event.
As a bonus, the day of the food truck event at Salt River Fields, the new spring training home for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, is also the first day that 2012 spring training tickets go on sale -- and ticket buyers will receive free admission to Street Eats.

In addition to the mobile grub and Tyler Florence, the Street Eats Food Truck Festival will also feature cooking demonstrations, a market, tailgating games, and activities for the kiddies. Ticket holders will also have access to the all-day Happy Hour zone, which offers discounted drink prices.
Admission is $10 and tickets are available at the door, by phone at 1-888-490-0383, or online here. At the event, guests can purchase $2 vouchers that act as currency with the featured food trucks. Each truck will offer sample-size and full-size portions of their specialties in exchange for Street Eats vouchers.
