Sometimes when you travel to a new place, you feel guilting ordering a burger when you know you should be eating the local cuisine. Well, when you come to the Wests Most Western Town, you can be rest assured that it is not only appropriate to order a burger, but that we do burgers like no one else. Here is a list of some of the most unique Scottsdale has to offer.
Rusty Spur Saloon
South Border Burger – l/2 lb. burger, topped with roasted green chilies, pepper jack cheese and crispy bacon. Served with fries. $9
Spotted Donkey Cantina
Big Ol’ Jack Ass Angus Burger – Donkey Style double meat cooked medium, with cheddar and asadero cheese, grilled onions, bacon, green chiles, jalapenos, chipotle aioli and Donkey fries. $12
Roaring Fork
The Roaring Fork “Big Ass” Burger – served with fresh ground chuck, cheddar, pepper bacon, and roasted poblano pepper on a house baked bun with hand cut French fries. $13
Latilla at the Boulders Resort & Golden Door Spa
The Boulders Burger – served with stuffed cheddar cheese, Haystack Onions, Avocado Aioli, Foraged Mushrooms and French Fries. $18
T. Cook’s at Royal Palms Resort and Spa
Michelle Burger – 10-ounce burger topped with sherry marinated tomatoes, Manchego cheese, arugula, mini sweet chili aioli and a mixture of asparagus chips and haystack onions. The combination of bubbly cheese with the sweet and spicy chili aioli, and the side of chips and onions gives this dish a Southwestern twist. $14
Relish Burger Bistro at The Phoenician
Southwestern – 1/2 pound of American Kobe Beef (made with a combination of Sirloin, Chuck & Brisket grilled to order and served on a house-made Challah Bun). Ingredients include Roasted Poblano, Guacamole and Habanero Jack Cheese. Includes a side of tater tots. $16
The Cowboy – 1/2 pound of American Kobe Beef (made with a combination of Sirloin, Chuck & Brisket grilled to order and served on a house-made Challah Bun). Ingredients include Fried Onion Rings, Bacon Rashers, Jalapeños, Sharp Cheddar Cheese and House-Made Steak Sauce. Includes a side of tater tots. $16

Grilled Kobe Burger – Set in the sultry Sonoran Desert, W Scottsdale offers hotel guests a taste of the Southwest with a grilled Kobe burger served on an herb foccacia bun with shoe string fries and choice of: cheddar cheese, blue cheese or jalapeno jack cheese. Add-ons available include smoked bacon and/or grilled onions for $2 each. Put it all together with the various cheese and add-on choices, and you’ll get a Kobe burger with a Southwest kick! $20

Rita’s Burger – 7oz. beef burger layered with roasted Poblano peppers, ancho spiced crispy onion, cilantro-Poblano remoulade (which also has sour cream, key lime, avocado), burger is dusted with guajillo chili pepper, served with sweet potato fries and cilantro lime dip. $15
Crescent Moon at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North
Achiote Salmon Burger – incorporates seasonings and flavors associated with the southwest with achiote seasoning and a veracruz sauce. $18.00
ROQ at InterContinental Montelucia
Beef Machaca Burger – braised short rib “slow braised” for eight hours with hatch pepper, tomatoes, onions and southwestern spices; pepperjack; sweet corn; and chipotle spread. The spread is made of fresh grilled corn sautéed with garlic, onions, salt, pepper and chipotle. Cream is added then simmered, reduced and finally puréed in a food processor until smooth. The burger is assembled on a grilled brioche bun and served with ‘secret recipe’ salsa verde. $16
BOURBON STEAK at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess
Bar Burgers – Build your own burger at BOURBON STEAK and add your own Southwest twist with topping like roasted peppers, shaved jalapenos, Michael’s BBQ sauce or Harissa aioli. Prices range from $12-$18
