For the past two years, Arizona Restaurant Week has helped spur business during the slow, pre-tourist doldrums of September.
Now a group of restaurants are hoping that same strategy will energize the slow, post-tourist doldrums of May.
The first spring Arizona Restaurant Week is launching on Friday, May 13, running ten days, through Sunday, May 22.
Participating restaurants will be offering three-course, fixed-price meals, discount-priced at $30 or $40, plus tax and tip.
Among those already signed on are several high-profile Valley spots: Noca, Avanti, Donovan's, Fuego Bistro, Posh, Don & Charlie's, Roka Akor, Fogo de Chao, Lon's and Skye.
Reservations went quickly last year, especially for high-demand time slots.
Look for an updated list of participants and (eventually) posted menus at www.arizonarestaurantweek.com.
